Fix your head… to create your dreaming body!

Heal your mind and heart first.
Building your body is the easy part, the spiritual and emotional part is difficult.
“If I could just lose that weight, I would feel better about myself.”

I used to think about it because I listened to it continuously from my clients, but from my experience I know it’s not true. We not reached that point poor physical and physical situation thinking positive thoughts or implementing healthy habits, on the contrary. We stopped we have ourselves a priority, we began to put our comfort as a priority, consuming fast and easy on prepared meals without to enter the process to consider what is beneficial and what is good for us but you only care we are to live a life without thinking about it simply was “good life”.

I read somewhere that obesity is not the problem – it’s a symptom. This statement is so meaningful. While food is technically a fuel for the body that helps it move and grow, there are many things other than what it really is. For some of us, eating is a reward for a tough week at work or to tackle the obstacles of life. For many of us food is a kind of pleasure and we eat when we are in a state of stress or sadness. It is used as a tool for dealing with life. For some, food can even become an addiction where its effects are very similar to a drug.

There are a number of reasons why we could get here. Many of us have unresolved issues from our past. These issues have caused an unhealthy relationship with food. If these problems arise from abuse, intimidation, inadvertent but hard-spoken words of a parent or lack of education of healthy living habits without being treated, it will be very difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Why make your body first will not work in the long run, but only temporarily.

Although it is possible to achieve your goals without resolving these internal conflicts, it is likely to be very difficult to stay there. It will be easy to get back to previous habits, especially if you think these efforts should only be temporary. If you do not change your weight and your lifestyle in general, health problems will return.

When this change occurs in another way of life, you become a different person. It takes time to figure out who you are because in your head there is the image of how you were before, the image you see in the mirror has changed and you may not recognize it anymore. People may start to treat you differently and not always with a positive way. Friends may stop inviting you to activities because you have chosen healthier habits. Maybe the people you care about and hang out to stop communicating with you. Maybe they are jealous. Or maybe when you are around to remind them that they are weak and do not have the will to change their lives as well.

You may also need time to learn how to work and eventually get rid of this cycle of eternal guilt where you eat to feel better and you feel guilty because you ate “bad food.” After a period of self-restraint, eat again to feel better and the circle goes around. Self-destruction usually returns.

But not everything is lost. It is possible to get out of this circle. It is possible to resolve these past issues. It is possible to instill new healthy habits and become healthier and happier.

Below I quote some tips to heal your head and change your way of life:

1. Be willing to deal with the issue realistically, it means to understand it, accept it and of course refer to the help of an expert.

2. Realize what you need to do to reach your goal, which you have to do for the rest of your life to keep it (examples: eat better, exercise, cut alcohol).

3. Cut the dependence on the feelings that cause you to eat, find alternative solutions to resolve or deal with these situations.

4. Be realistic, do not believe that they are plaguing you. No pills, diet or product you use from a celebrity will eliminate years of unhealthy habits or negative correlations.

5. Feel beautiful and not guilty by spending less time with people who do not support or contribute to an unhealthy lifestyle. They can love you and want the best for you, but they can subconsciously sabotage your efforts.

You deserve to lead to a healthy and happy life. Heal your head. Heal your heart. Heal your body.
