Cellulite is the enemy of the modern woman.

IMG_4390If you have cellulite do not worry at least you are not alone. Cellulite affects more than 85 percent of all women to some extent. It is characterized by changes in the surface of the skin, which appear as pleated or injured skin, mainly in the thighs and buttocks. With advances in technology and more women wanting treatment, research has been made over the last decade to better understand and treat cellulite.

Why do I have cellulite?

Understanding how cellulite should be better dealt with begins with an understanding of its causes, first of all you need to know your enemy before you understand how to beat it. Doctors now believe that cellulite is caused by a combination of coexisting factors. There is no consensus on what exactly causes cellulite, but I will quote some current ideas that have been somehow documented in recent years.

1.The architecture of connective tissue.

In women, the connective tissue zones are oriented longitudinally from the muscle to the skin. These bands separate the fat into the channels. As the fatty layer widens, these zones pull the skin down to the muscle and compress the fat, pushing it up to the surface of the skin and creating an uneven appearance of the skin.

2. Hormones.

Hormonal changes (especially estrogens) in post-pubertal women promote the deposition of fat on the hips and thighs and make it difficult to remove the fat particles stored in these areas.

3. Lymphatic and blood circulation disorders.

Anything that reduces blood flow in these areas causes fluid accumulation (swelling). Swelling increases the volume of fat, making the projections more visible. External toxins, including alcohol, tobacco and caffeine, prevent the circulation of fluids in these areas that are sensitive to cellulite.

4. Sedentary life.

Patients, weak muscles do not support supernatant tissues and lead to more skin deformity.

-What can I do to fight cellulite?

1. Weight loss.

Weight loss has a variable effect on the appearance of cellulite. As fat pellets contract with weight loss, the skin does not appear to have cellulite. This is also true for women with healthy skin. But if the skin is not healthy, rapid weight loss can lead to skin loosening, making the skin’s wrinkle even worse. They are so keep a constant weight and avoid dramatic fluctuations in your weight.

IMG_43922. Diet

A diet against cellulite focuses on removing excess fat and toxins, eating more fruits, vegetables and lean protein foods. Do not be afraid of healthy fats in your diet from fatty fish, linseed, walnuts and avocados. Drinking plenty of water will help to rinse toxins from the body. Excess salt, sugar, alcohol and caffeine will cause fatty cell dilation, fluid retention and increased accumulation of toxins. It is best to eat five or six small meals to keep your metabolism effective and avoid getting your body into a “storage mode” that occurs after eating large meals. This means more fat deposition.

A study in the journal International Journal of Cosmetic Science showed that changes in eating habits without weight loss improved the appearance of cellulite. Adding a cream that has improved skin health has further reduced its appearance.

3. Excercise

Exercise is one of the best things you can do to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Resistance training is especially important, as the more you build the underlying supportive muscles, the stronger your skin will be, the less visible the cellulite. By stimulating your muscles through exercise with resistances, the muscles will push out and shape your skin so as to eliminate the deformations that cause cellulite.

High-intensity short-duration training (HISD) will boost your metabolism and will naturally boost your growth hormone levels, a hormone that burns fat.

In conclusion, I would like to stress that the combination of physical exercise (building and emphasizing your muscles), proper nutrition, which will aim to remove fat, and the use of a good moisturizer for healthy skin, is the triptych for its removal cellulite and do not forget that cellulite returns if only for some time follow the above, so you have to experience the right and healthy way of life for all your life and not for a period!
